There is a growing interest in the work and ideas of the great pioneering and pivotal figure of the twentieth century, psychologist Carl Gustav Jung whose extraordinary genius and humanity reached far beyond the sometimes exclusive realm of psychology and psychiatry into redefining the essential nature of who we are and what we hope to become.

In 1992 it was decided to establish a forum for those wanting to explore Jung's extraordinarily far ranging work in the company of others of like mind. The forum became known as The Cambridge Jungian Circle, and soon afterwards a registered charity. It now has about 80 members whose knowledge of Jung's work ranges widely. One of the qualities of the 'Circle' is the free interchange between people of different backgrounds and cultures and experience of Jung and psychology.

The purpose of the Cambridge Jungian Circle is to advance public education in the form of understanding and awareness of the works of Carl Gustav Jung and related matters in the area centered on Cambridge, as laid down in its constitution.

This website illustrates some of the ways we try to achieve that, how we are organised, what we can offer members. We invite anyone who has an interest in Jungian thought, or in Jung's life or work to consider becoming a part of this thriving Circle.
